About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our MEP and Fitout team on-site. You'll take ownership of electrical projects from design through execution, coordinating with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to deliver high-quality installations. This role is ideal for someone with deep UAE market knowledge and a proven track record managing complex electrical systems in commercial fitout environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed Scopes of Work (SOW) for electrical installations, ensuring clarity and alignment with client requirements and local regulations
- Manage electrical project execution from tender stage through completion, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control
- Select and specify electrical materials and equipment based on project requirements, performance standards, and cost efficiency
- Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and material suppliers to resolve technical issues and maintain project timelines
- Conduct site inspections and testing to verify compliance with specifications, safety standards, and MEP system integration
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and as-built drawings for project handover and client approval
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on electrical engineering experience in the UAE, specifically in MEP and commercial fitout projects
- MOI-certified educational credentials (Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent recognized qualification)
- Proven expertise in preparing comprehensive Scopes of Work and technical specifications
- Strong knowledge of electrical material selection, equipment standards, and supplier management
- Proficiency in coordinating between multiple stakeholders — consultants, contractors, and suppliers — in fast-paced environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues on-site
- Nice to have: Experience with electrical design software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) and familiarity with UAE building codes and DEWA requirements
