About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to maintain and optimize our pharmaceutical production equipment and critical utility systems. You'll be the technical backbone of our manufacturing operations, ensuring our tablet presses, granulators, blenders, and coating pans run flawlessly while keeping our facility compliant with cGMP, FDA, and EUGMP standards. This is a hands-on role where your expertise directly impacts product quality and production uptime.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on tablet presses, granulators, blenders, coating pans, and related production equipment using advanced diagnostic tools
- Monitor and maintain critical utility systems including HVAC, purified water generation and distribution, and compressed air systems to ensure uninterrupted pharmaceutical operations
- Support installation, qualification, and validation of new equipment, including factory acceptance testing and documentation for regulatory compliance
- Conduct performance testing, calibration, and validation of instruments and equipment to meet cGMP and FDA requirements
- Develop, implement, and refine maintenance strategies including reliability-centered maintenance approaches to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with cGMP, FDA, EUGMP, MHRA, SFDA, and local MOHAP regulations; provide technical support during regulatory audits
- Identify and implement energy efficiency improvements through utility and equipment audits, and contribute to the development and revision of standard operating procedures
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as an Engineering Technician or similar role in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environments
- Hands-on expertise troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems in production equipment
- Demonstrated knowledge of cGMP, FDA, and EUGMP compliance requirements for pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment calibration instruments
- Strong understanding of utility systems (HVAC, purified water, compressed air) in pharmaceutical settings
- Nice to have: Experience with reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) or predictive maintenance methodologies
- Nice to have: Familiarity with equipment validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and regulatory audit support
