Job Description
The Highway Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and supervising the construction and maintenance of highways, roads, and bridge infrastructure to ensure safety, durability, and compliance with engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design roadways, highways, and bridge alignments using engineering software
- Conduct feasibility studies, traffic analysis, and site investigations
- Ensure compliance with local and international standards (AASHTO, ASTM, etc.)
- Review drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Coordinate with surveyors, contractors, and project teams
- Monitor construction progress and resolve technical issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering
- 5–10 years of experience in highway/road design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and design tools
- Strong knowledge of road safety standards
