Commissioning Engineer

About the Role

We're looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join our lighting team and take ownership of bringing lighting control systems to life on-site. You'll work hands-on with GRMS platforms, home automation systems, and complex installations—ensuring everything runs flawlessly from commissioning through maintenance. This is a role where your technical expertise directly impacts customer satisfaction and project success.

Key Responsibilities

• Commission and test lighting control systems and home automation installations on-site, identifying and resolving technical issues before handover
• Program GRMS controllers and interfaces using industry-standard tools, ensuring systems meet design specifications and client requirements
• Conduct site visits to assess installation progress, provide technical support to installation teams, and troubleshoot integration challenges
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including commissioning reports, system configurations, and maintenance manuals
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on commissioned systems, responding to service requests and ensuring system reliability
• Collaborate with design and sales teams to ensure installations align with customer expectations and project scope

Requirements

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience commissioning lighting control systems or similar electrical/electronics systems
• Proven expertise with GRMS platforms and home automation systems—not just theoretical knowledge
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for reviewing and creating technical drawings
• Valid UAE driving license (required for frequent site visits)
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently on-site with minimal supervision
• Nice to have: Experience with KNX, DALI, or other lighting protocols
• Nice to have: Familiarity with electrical safety standards and compliance documentation
