About the Role
We're looking for an Assistant Manager to own our order management operations and drive excellence across order accuracy, vendor coordination, and fulfillment execution. You'll lead a team responsible for processing high-volume purchase orders in our jewelry retail business, leveraging Microsoft Dynamics ERP to optimize workflows and ensure seamless customer delivery. This role combines hands-on operational expertise with process improvement initiatives that directly impact our supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily order management and execution activities, ensuring 100% accuracy in order processing, inventory allocation, and shipment coordination for jewelry products
- Manage vendor relationships and product delivery timelines, coordinating with suppliers to meet purchase order commitments and resolve fulfillment issues proactively
- Oversee compliance and quality controls across the order-to-delivery cycle, implementing checks and audits to maintain accuracy standards and reduce errors
- Develop and mentor your team on best practices, ERP system optimization, and operational procedures to build capability and drive consistent performance
- Identify process bottlenecks and lead continuous improvement initiatives, using data from Microsoft Dynamics to streamline workflows and reduce cycle times
- Monitor KPIs including order accuracy rates, on-time delivery, and vendor performance, reporting insights to senior management and recommending corrective actions
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management with proven expertise in order management, order execution, and customer fulfillment operations
- Mandatory: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics ERP (configuration, reporting, and troubleshooting at a functional level)
- Demonstrated experience handling large volumes of purchase orders and managing complex order workflows in a retail or distribution environment
- Required: Prior experience in the jewelry industry or luxury goods retail
- Strong background in vendor coordination, procurement operations, and logistics coordination with documented success improving delivery performance
- Proven track record in process improvement and team capability development, with examples of initiatives that delivered measurable results
- Nice to have: Experience with supply chain analytics tools, demand planning, or inventory optimization
