About the Role
The MEP Projects Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and monitoring Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works on construction projects. The role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The engineer will coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to achieve project objectives
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract documents.
- Prepare project schedules, work programs, and resource allocation plans.
- Support project handover and closeout documentation.
- Coordinate and supervise all MEP installation activities on-site.
- Manage client expectations and address project-related concerns.
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Provide technical support and project updates to stakeholders.
- Assist in project budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.
- Client & Stakeholder Management Attend project meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Technical Coordination Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, consultants, and contractors.
- Promote a safe working environment across project sites.
- Resolve technical issues related to MEP systems and installations.
- Conduct safety inspections and toolbox talks. Identify and mitigate project risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or relevant Engineering discipline. 3–8 years of experience in MEP construction projects. Experience in commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects. Knowledge of HVAC, Electrical Systems, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV Systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
